Description

Significant period of freezing rain is expected.

Locations: eastern Nova Scotia.

Potential freezing rain duration: 3 to 6 hours or more.

Time span: Monday evening and overnight.

Remarks: Freezing rain is expected to begin Monday night and will persist overnight until temperatures rise above zero. Additionally winds will strengthen out of the east to southeast gusting to 70 km/h except gusting over 100 km/h from Margaree Harbour to Bay St. Lawrence overnight Monday night.

Accumulations of ice may create slippery and hazardous travel or walking conditions.

Ice buildup on trees and utility infrastructure may cause damage or outages.
