Total snowfall: 15 to 25 cm.
Maximum wind gusts: easterly 70 to 80 km/h Monday night.
Remarks: An intense low pressure system is expected to pass south of southwestern Nova Scotia Monday night then track over eastern Nova Scotia Tuesday morning, bringing heavy snow and strong winds before an eventual changeover to rain late Monday night or early Tuesday morning. Blowing snow is possible on Monday night in areas away from the Atlantic coast, where temperatures are likely to be near or above zero during the strongest winds.
