Description

Strong winds are expected over some areas.

Locations: Avalon Peninsula North.

Maximum wind gusts: northwesterly 70 km/h, except 100 along parts of the coast.

Time span: this evening.

Remarks: A period of strong northwesterly winds is expected to occur on the backside of the departing winter storm. Periods of snow accompanying the strong winds is likely to result in a period of poor visibility in snow and blowing snow this evening, especially over exposed areas.
