Yellow Watch - Winter Storm
A significant winter storm is expected.
Locations: southeastern Labrador from L'Anse-au-Clair to Cartwright, including Eagle River.
Potential snowfall: 15 to 30 cm.
Potential wind gusts: northeasterly 80 to 100 km/h shifting to northwesterly 80 to 100 km/h.
Time span: Monday morning until early Tuesday morning.
Remarks: Meteorologists are monitoring a weather system which has the potential to bring significant snowfall and strong winds. The combination of fresh snow and strong winds is likely to result in blizzard-like conditions with poor visibility.
