Hazardous winter conditions continue.
Additional snowfall: 5 to 10 cm.
Maximum wind gusts: northeasterly 60 to 80 km/h today.
Maximum wind gusts: northwesterly 80 km/h, except 100 along exposed areas of the coast tonight.
Locations: the Burin and Bonavista Peninsulas as well as Clarenville and vicinity.
Time span: continuing until overnight.
Remarks: The snow will combine with strong winds to cause poor visibility in snow and blowing snow.
Over the Burin Peninsula, the snow has changed to ice pellets and freezing rain. Conditions will once again deteriorate in the afternoon as precipitation transitions back to snow and combines with strong winds to cause poor visibility in snow and blowing snow.
