Description

Hazardous winter conditions continue.

Locations: Avalon Peninsula.

Total snowfall: 15 to 30 cm.

Maximum wind gusts: northerly 60 to 70 km/h.

Time span: continuing until Monday morning.

Remarks: Snowfall rates of 2 to 4 cm per hour are possible, with locally higher amounts under heavier bands. Strong winds accompanying the snow will reduce visibility at times in blowing snow. Highest snowfall accumulations can be expected over the eastern Avalon Peninsula.

Roads and walkways will likely be difficult to navigate. Travel will likely be challenging.
