Yellow Advisory - Blowing Snow

Issued at Sun 4:06 AM Dec. 28
Issued by: Environment and Climate Change Canada
Description

Poor visibility in snow and blowing snow is expected in some locations.

Strong northwesterly winds combined with falling snow will lead to reduced visibilities in blowing snow this afternoon across the Red River Valley.

Visibilities will improve this evening as winds diminish.

In addition to the blowing snow, 5 to 10 cm of new snow is expected across the southern Red River Valley on Sunday.

###

Travel will likely be hazardous due to near-zero visibility.

Blowing snow advisories are issued when widespread poor visibility in blowing snow is expected.
