Description

Locations: Portions of southern Manitoba.

Potential rainfall rates: locally 30 to 50 mm per hour in thunderstorms.

Potential wind gusts: near 90 to 120 km/h in thunderstorms.

Time span: Continuing through this evening, potentially extending into the overnight hours.

Remarks: Thunderstorms are currently ongoing over southern Manitoba and will continue as the evening progresses. As these storms track east-northeast, they pose a risk for large hail (4 to 6 cm), strong gusty winds, heavy rainfall, and a tornado or two.
