Description

Strong gusty winds up to 80 km/h.

What:
Sudden strong gusty winds.

When:
Late this evening to Thursday morning

Where:
North Okanagan - including Vernon and the Kootenays.

Hazards:
- Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, cause tree damage resulting in localized power outages, and property damage.
- Potential for travel disruptions and delays.

Additional information:
Strong gusty winds will develop late this evening as a sharp cold front sweeps across southern BC. Southerly winds will rise to 50 km/h with gusts to 80 and persist overnight.

The strong wind gusts will ease Thursday morning.
