Description

Snow at times heavy continues.

Where: Highway 3 - near Kootenay Pass.

When: Now until early Thursday morning.

Remarks: Snow will continue today and tonight as a low pressure system moves through southeastern BC. Approximately 15 cm has already fallen since yesterday with a further 15 to 25 cm expected before easing early Thursday morning.

Strong winds at times will accompany this system and give limited visibility in blowing snow.

Visibility will likely be reduced at times.

Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.
