Description
Very heavy rain is expected. 100-120 mm of rain is expected over northern sections of West Vancouver Island. Where: West Vancouver Island. When: Continuing this morning. Remarks: A Pacific frontal system continues to bring periods of heavy rain to West Vancouver Island. 100 to 120 mm of rain is expected mainly for communities between Zeballos and Tahsis. 70 to 100 mm of rain can be expected elsewhere in the region. The heavy rain will ease later this morning. ### Water will likely pool on roads and in low-lying areas. Landslides may occur in vulnerable areas such as steep slopes, deforested areas or recent burn scars. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. Damaging winds are expected.

Very strong southwesterly winds possible.

Where: West Vancouver Island

When: This morning.

Remarks:
Another strong frontal system is crossing the BC coast. Strong southwesterly winds with gusts to 100 km/h are possible this morning. Winds will gradually ease later this morning as the frontal system pushes further east.
