Yellow Warning - Winter Storm
Hazardous winter conditions are expected.
What:
- 15 to 25 cm of snow
- Near zero visibility in blowing snow
- Strong, gusty northeasterly winds
- Wind chill down to minus 25 to minus 30
When:
Midday Tuesday to Wednesday morning.
Where:
Highway 97 - Pine Pass, and B.C. Peace.
Additional information:
Up to 15 to 25 cm of snow will fall by Wednesday morning over northeastern BC including Highway 97 east of Pine Pass as a deep low pressure system moves into the B.C. interior. Strong easterly or northeasterly winds gusting to 60 km/h will accompany this system resulting in near zero visibility at times in blowing snow.
The heavy snow and blowing snow will ease late Wednesday morning as the system moves further east across the Prairies.

Roads and walkways will likely be difficult to navigate. Visibility will likely be suddenly reduced to near zero at times.
