Description

Snowfall with total amounts of 10 to 20 cm is expected.

When:
Monday evening through late Tuesday morning, with higher snowfall in the evening.

Where:
B.C. Peace River (Mainly localized from Dawson Creek to Fort St. John).

Additional information:
A frontal system crossing northern B.C. on Monday will bring heavy snow to the region, with the highest snowfall expected near Fort St. John.

Precipitation may begin as rain earlier in the day before transitioning to snow as the cold front passes on Monday evening. Driving conditions and visibilities will deteriorate quickly with the passage of the cold front as snowfall rates are expected to peak with up to 3 cm per hour.

Fort St. John could see 10 to 20 cm by late Tuesday morning, whereas Dawson Creek may see up to 10 cm. Snow will taper off by Tuesday afternoon as the system exits the region.

Roads and walkways will likely be difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Visibility will likely be reduced at times.
