Freezing rain will begin late this morning to early this afternoon in northwest Alberta. The risk of freezing rain will persist through the rest of the day in some areas.

Precipitation will end late Friday evening.

Roads and walkways will likely become icy and slippery. Icy surfaces could be difficult to detect. Local utility outages are possible.
