A prolonged period of snow with localized blowing snow continuing.
Locations: central and western Nova Scotia.
Total snowfall: additional snowfall amounts 5 cm in the southwest, and 10 to 20 cm elsewhere giving storm totals approaching 35 cm.
maximum wind gusts: near 50 km/h this evening giving localized blowing snow in exposed areas.
Time span: continuing until early Tuesday morning.
Remarks: Light snow is expected to intensify again this evening. Snow will taper off to scattered flurries on Tuesday morning.

Roads and walkways will likely be difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
