Description

Strong southwesterly winds gusting up to 90 km/h.

When: This evening to near midnight.

Where:
- South Thompson
- Nicola
- Coquihalla Highway from Merritt to Kamloops.
- Cariboo south including Williams Lake
- 100 Mile
- Highway 97 from Clinton to 100 Mile House via Begbie Summit
- Central Chilcotin (near Puntzi Mountain) and Southwest Chilcotin (communities near the Coastal Mountains)

Remark:
A strong Pacific low pressure system will move across interior B.C. tonight. Strong southwesterly winds gusting up to 90 km/h are expected to develop early this evening and continue until midnight.

Winds will ease after midnight but remain gusty into Wednesday morning as the system departs.

Local utility outages are possible. High-sided vehicles will be pushed around by the wind.
