Description

Snowfall with total amounts of 15 to 20 cm is expected.

Yellowhead Highway - Tête Jaune Cache to the Alberta Border

When: This evening through midday Monday

Remark:
A strong Pacific low pressure system is approaching B.C. coast and tracking through northern B.C. today and Monday. The associated frontal band will bring snow, heavy at times, starting this evening and persisting through the overnight period. Total snowfall accumulation is expected to be around 15 to 20 cm. Heavy snow will taper off, or change to rain showers through Monday afternoon.

Travel will likely be challenging. Visibility will likely be reduced at times.

Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.

Snowfall warnings are issued when significant impacts are expected due to snowfall accumulations.
