What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: A portion of southwest California, including the following county, Los Angeles.
When: Until noon PST.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rock slides and mud slides. Possible minor debris flows.
Additional Details: - At 605 AM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - Be aware of rock slides and mud slides, as they can occur even after the rain has ended. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Long Beach, Thousand Oaks, Malibu, Lake Los Angeles, Acton, Wrightwood, Burbank, Griffith Park, North Hollywood, Universal City, Pasadena, Hollywood, Van Nuys, Mount Wilson, Downtown Los Angeles, Alhambra, Beverly Hills, Encino, Northridge and Santa Clarita. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Be aware of rock slides and mud slides.
