Recommended Action
You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop. Avoid flooded roads. Be alert in the mountains for rockslides, rocks, and debris flows in the road.

Description

What: Large breaking waves of 5 to 8 feet with local sets to 9 feet, highest for south-facing beaches.
Where: San Diego County Coastal Areas and Orange County Coastal Areas.
When: Until 11 AM PST Saturday.
Impacts: Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion.
Additional Details: Surf heights will come down slightly on Thursday, but are expected to rise again Friday and last through early Saturday.

Recommended Action

Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions.
