Description

What:
Southerly wind gusts up to 90 km/h.

When:
Until early this morning.

Where:
Fraser Canyon - south including Lytton,
Manning - Skagit Valley,
Similkameen,
Nicola,
Central and South Okanagan - including Kelowna and Penticton.

Additional information:
A sharp cold front crossing southern BC is producing very strong southerly winds for the southwestern interior. The intense gusty winds are expected to continue overnight before diminishing early this morning.

Local utility outages are possible. Damage to roofs, fences, branches or soft shelters is possible.

Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.
