Rain, heavy at times is expected. The frozen ground has a reduced ability to absorb this rainfall.
What:
Total rain and freezing rain amounts 20 to 40 mm
When:
Beginning near noon and ending Monday morning.
Additional information:
Freezing rain or rain will begin near noon near the west end of Lake Ontario and spread east through the afternoon. Some areas near Lake Ontario are expected to receive mostly rain while other regions will gradually transition from freezing rain to rain tonight. Rain and freezing rain will be heavy at times through the afternoon and evening. The rain will ease Monday morning.
If possible, clear storm drains of snow and ice.

Localized flooding is possible. Some roads may become impassable.

Beginning Monday morning and easing Monday evening.

Strong southwesterly winds are expected to develop Monday morning
with the passage of a strong cold front. The winds will ease through
Monday evening as they shift around to the northwest. Areas that will receive ice build-up from freezing rain will be most vulnerable.
Local utility outages are possible. Damage to roofs, fences,
branches or soft shelters is possible. Some property damage is
possible. Secure loose objects.
