Description

Hazardous winter conditions continue.

Locations: Avalon Peninsula Southeast.

Additional snowfall: 5 to 10 cm.

Maximum wind gusts: north to northeasterly 80 to 100 km/h.

Time span: continuing until this evening.

Remarks: Conditions will gradually begin to improve later today as the snow tapers to scattered flurries. Temperatures will rise to just above zero, and the snow may mix with, or transition to, rain along parts of the coast.
