What: For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills as low as 18 below zero expected.
Where: In Maryland, Eastern Garrett, Extreme Western Allegany, and Western Garrett Counties. In West Virginia, Western Mineral County.
When: Until 11 AM EST Thursday.
Impacts: The dangerously cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures.
Additional Details: Additional Cold Weather Headlines are expected at times through the end of the week as the region remains in an Arctic airmass.

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make sure outdoor animals have a warm, dry shelter, food, and unfrozen water.
