Flood Warning
The National Weather Service in Milwaukee/Sullivan WI has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Wisconsin Baraboo River Near Baraboo affecting Columbia and Sauk Counties.
What: Minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Baraboo River near Baraboo.
When: From Sunday evening to early Wednesday afternoon.
Impacts: At 18.0 feet, If Wisconsin River at Portage up to 17 feet also, water approaches gravel of I-39 off ramp to Cascade Mt Rd. There is widespread flooding of agricultural land.
Additional Details: - At 10:00 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 13.7 feet. - Bankfull stage is 14.0 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow evening to a crest of 18.0 feet Tuesday morning. It will then fall below flood stage Wednesday morning. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet. - Flood HistoryThis crest compares to a previous crest of 18.0 feet on 06/14/1947. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
