Severe Thunderstorm Warning

Description

The National Weather Service in Milwaukee/Sullivan has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Southeastern Lafayette County in south central Wisconsin Southern Green County in south central Wisconsin Until 715 PM CDT. At 622 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Nora, or 15 miles southwest of Monroe, moving northeast at 35 mph.
Hazard: 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
Source: Radar indicated.
Impact: Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include Monroe, South Wayne, Browntown, and Juda.

Recommended Action

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.

Description

At 635 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Winslow, or 11 miles southwest of Monroe, moving northeast at 30 mph.
Hazard: Tornado and quarter size hail.
Source: Weather spotters reported multiple funnel cloud.
Impact: Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. This dangerous storm will be near Monroe around 640 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Browntown and Juda.
