Patchy dense fog has develop across portions of central and southern Virginia, and interior northeast North Carolina early this morning. Visibility will generally be reduced to one half to one mile, and occasionally to one quarter mile or less. Drier air gradually moving in form the north should allow the fog to lift from north to south early this morning. Motorists should be alert for sudden changes in visibility due to the areas of fog. Drive at reduced speeds and use low beam headlights only.
