Description

The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texa
S: Rio Grande At Laredo affecting Webb County. For the Rio Grandeincluding Columbia Bridge, LaredoModerate flooding is forecast.
What: Moderate flooding is forecast.
Where: Rio Grande at Laredo.
When: From late tonight to late Monday night.
Impacts: At 20.0 feet, or 6.1 meters moderate lowland flooding occurs. Water is several feet deep over most of the mall and customs parking lots. The lowest residences are threatened and roads and low bridges become very dangerous.
Additional Details: - At 8:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 5.1 feet (1.6 meters). - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet (2.1 meters). - ForecastThe river is expected to rise above flood stage just after midnight tonight to a crest of 20.9 feet (6.4 meters) Sunday evening. It will then fall below flood stage late Monday morning. - Flood stage is 8.0 feet (2.4 meters). - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Recommended Action

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov/crp.
