Flood Advisory
What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall earlier today.
Where: A portion of south central Texas, including the following counties, Bastrop, Lee, Travis and Williamson.
When: Until 1000 AM CDT.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings.
Additional Details: - At 804 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is already occurring in the advisory area and avoid any closed or flooded roadways. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Austin, Pflugerville, Taylor, Elgin, Lexington, Manor, Thrall, Coupland, Tanglewood, Beyarsville, Knobb Springs, Butler, Noack, Blue, McDade, Cedar Hills, Rices Crossing and Sandoval. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
