The Flood Watch will expire for portions of southern Connecticut, including the following areas, Northern Middlesex, Northern New Haven, Northern New London, Southern Fairfield, Southern Middlesex, Southern New Haven and Southern New London and southeast New York, including the following areas, Northeast Suffolk, Northern Nassau, Northwest Suffolk, Southeast Suffolk, Southern Nassau and Southwest Suffolk. The threat for additional flooding is ending as the heaviest rainfall exits the area. Therefore, the Flood Watch will expire at 2 PM EDT this afternoon. Continue to heed any remaining road closures.
