What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
Where: Much of southwest New Mexico, including the Dona Ana, Grant, Luna, Hidalgo, and Sierra Counties and the Sacramento Mountain in south-central New Mexico.
When: Until 6 AM MDT Thursday.
Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded.
Additional Details: - Abundant moisture has moved into the region and scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms will continue tonight. Many areas west of the Rio Grande have received a half inch up to 2 inches of rainfall over recent days, so any additional rainfall could lead to flash flooding. Localized storm amounts of 1 to 2 inches are still possible with the strongest storms and where storms redevelop over the same area. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
