Description

RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON TO 9 PM CDT TUESDAY DUE TO WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR KNOX, CEDAR, ANTELOPE, PIERCE,
And Wayne Counties: The National Weather Service in Omaha/Valley NE has issued a Red Flag Warning in effect from noon to 9 PM CDT Tuesday.
What: Northwest winds 15 to 25 mph with peak gusts up to 36 mph. Relative humidity values as low as 19 percent.
Where: Knox, Cedar, Antelope, Pierce, and Wayne counties.
When: From Noon to 9 PM CDT Tuesday.
Impacts: Any fires that develop will spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

Recommended Action

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will shortly. A combination of gusty winds, low relative humidity and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
