Fire Weather Watch In Effect From Thursday Afternoon Through Early Thursday Evening Due To Wind And Low Relative Humidity For Southwest And Portions Of Northwest North Dakota: .Warm and breezy conditions are expected over western North Dakota on Thursday ahead of an approaching cold front. Temperatures are forecast to climb into the upper 80s, with afternoon humidities of 12 to 20 percent. Winds on Thursday afternoon are forecast to be westerly 15 to 20 mph with gusts to around 30 mph. Due to the low humidity and breezy conditions with abundant dry vegetation, Critical fire weather conditions are forecast to occur Thursday afternoon into early Thursday evening.
Affected Area: Southwest and portions of northwest North Dakota.
Timing: From Thursday afternoon through early Thursday evening.
Winds: West winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts to around 30 mph.
Relative Humidity: Relative Humidity from 12 to 20 percent.
Impacts: Any fires that develop will spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
