Heavy rain may fall on a primed snowpack at higher elevations leading to the snow melt increasing. Flows in rivers may increase quickly and reach critical levels.
What: Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt is possible.
Where: A portion of north central Montana, including the following area, East Glacier Park Region, including the east side of Glacier National Park.
When: From Sunday evening through Tuesday morning.
Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Additional Details: - Heavy rainfall is expected over the Northern Rockies, including the east side of Glacier Park from today into Monday. Rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible by Monday.
