Flood Watch
Rain will increase this evening lasting into Wednesday afternoon, this combined with warm temperatures will cause an increase in melt from a primed snowpack. Flows in streams and creeks may increase quickly and reach critical levels. Mainstem rivers are expected to remain below flood stage at this point.
What: Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt is possible.
Where: A portion of northwest Montana, including the following counties, Lincoln and Sanders.
When: From 6 PM MDT this evening through Wednesday afternoon.
Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
