Flash Flood Warning
The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Northeastern Christian County in southwestern Missouri Northwestern Douglas County in southwestern Missouri Webster County in southwestern Missouri Until 315 AM CDT Monday. At 913 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
Hazard: Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

Impact: Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include Marshfield, Rogersville, Seymour, Sparta, Fordland, Niangua, Diggins, Duncan, Northview, Dogwood, Elkhead, Bruner, Keltner, Oldfield, Rader and Chadwick. This includes the following low water crossing
S: Finley River at Harmony Road, James River at Bell Ford Road, Finley River at Highway Z, Niangua River at Highway Y, Cantrell Creek at Scott Creek Road, Swan Creek at Swan Cave Road and Finley River at Johns Ford Road.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
