Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
Where: Southeastern Geary County in east central Kansa
S: Northwestern Morris County in east central Kansa
S:
When: Until midnight CDT tonight.
Impacts: Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable.
Additional Details: - At 949 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated slow moving thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall across the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Junction City, Grandview Plaza, White City, Dwight, Parkerville and Council Grove Lake. - This includes Interstate 70 between mile markers 298 and 302.

Recommended Action

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
