The National Weather Service in Quad Cities has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Iowa North Skunk River near Sigourney affecting Keokuk County. .Additional rainfall from today through Monday night is expected to be considerably lighter than what fell Thursday through Saturday night. This helps provide higher confidence in these river forecasts.

Impacts: At 18.0 feet, Water affects most agricultural land near Sigourney.
Additional Details: - At 9:30 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 13.8 feet and rising. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise above flood stage tonight to a crest of 17.2 feet Monday afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Tuesday afternoon. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks. The next statement will be issued by Monday morning.
