Description

At 330 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles west of Kissimmee Prairie Preserve to near Lake Placid. Movement was west at 25 mph.
Hazard: Wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph.
Source: Radar indicated.
Impact: Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include Sebring, Avon Park, Wauchula, Lake Placid, Ona, Sebring Regional Airport, Sylvan Shores, Sweetwater, Fort Meade, Crooked Lake Park, Frostproof, Bowling Green, Zolfo Springs, Hillcrest Heights, Homeland, Indian Lake Estates, Limestone, Lake Josephine, Lorida, and Avon Park Air Force Range.

Recommended Action

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
