Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: A portion of northern California, including the following counties, Butte, Colusa, Glenn, Shasta, Tehama and Yuba.
When: Until 900 PM PST Thursday.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.
Additional Details: - At 941 PM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - Moderate to heavy rainfall is forecast to occur in the advisory area overnight and into Christmas Day, resulting in flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Redding, Chico, Paradise, Oroville, Red Bluff, Corning, Orland, Willows, Shingletown, Palo Cedro, Pulga, Palermo, Brush Creek Rs, Shasta Dam, Glenn, Shasta Lake, Anderson, Tehama, Vina and Gerber-Las Flores. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Recommended Action

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
