Description

Fog has developed across mountain locations tonight. Visibilities may quickly become reduced at night making driving difficult. Motorists should leave plenty of time to reach their destination, and slow down when driving through fog. Motorists should also leave further distances between the car in front of them.

What: Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.
Where: Portions of northwest North Carolina, southwest Virginia, and southeast West Virginia.
When: Until 9 AM EDT this morning.
Impacts: Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.

Recommended Action

If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
