Description

What: Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt is expected along the Yakima River near Easton.
Where: A portion of south central Washington, including the following county, Kittitas.
When: Until 500 PM PDT Sunday.
Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
Additional Details: - At 537 AM PDT, the public reported flooding in the warned area due to heavy rain and snow melt. Flooding is already occurring. - This includes the following streams and drainage
S: Cle Elum River, Tucker Creek, Spex Arth Creek, Yakima River, Peterson Creek, Big Creek and Little Creek. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Elk Meadows and Easton. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Recommended Action

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
