Recommended Action
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks. Flooding is forecast by Tuesday. Most flood related deaths occur in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges, dips, or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream, even a small one, on foot. To escape rising water find another route over higher ground. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov. The next statement will be issued Tuesday morning by 915 AM CDT.

Description

The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texa
S: San Antonio River Near Elmendorf affecting Wilson and Bexar Counties.
What: Minor flooding is forecast.
Where: San Antonio River near Elmendorf.
When: From late tonight to early Wednesday morning.
Impacts: At 39.0 feet, Moderate lowland flooding damages crops and floods pastureland below San Antonio to below Floresville. Secondary roads and low bridges, irrigation pumps, oil field pump jacks and tank batteries flood. Livestock are cut off in low areas.
Additional Details: - At 2:30 PM CDT Monday the stage was 27.7 feet. - Bankfull stage is 33.0 feet. - ForecastThe river will rise to 34.4 feet late this afternoon. It will then fall to 33.9 feet late this evening. It will rise above flood stage just after midnight tonight to 38.1 feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon. - Flood stage is 35.0 feet. - Flood HistoryThis crest compares to a previous crest of 38.2 feet on 04/25/2015. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
