Description

The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Texa
S: San Antonio River At Goliad affecting Victoria, Calhoun, Goliad and Refugio Counties. For the San Antonio Riverincluding GoliadMinor flooding is forecast.
What: Minor flooding is forecast.
Where: San Antonio River at Goliad.
When: From late Thursday night to Saturday afternoon.
Impacts: ImpactAt 25.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding occurs, with water in the lowest areas of Goliad State Park. Livestock below Goliad to the Guadalupe River confluence are cut off and potentially drown.
Additional Details: - At 8:00 AM CDT Monday the stage was 4.5 feet. - Bankfull stage is 22.0 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise above flood stage early Friday morning to a crest of 25.4 feet early Friday afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early Saturday morning. - Flood stage is 25.0 feet. - Flood HistoryThis crest compares to a previous crest of 25.5 feet on 03/23/2015. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Recommended Action

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.
