Recommended Action
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: Portions of southwest Oklahoma, including the following county, Jackson and northern Texas, including the following county, Hardeman.
When: Until midnight CDT tonight.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Additional Details: - At 852 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Quanah and Copper Breaks State Park. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
