Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: Southwestern Dallas County in north central Texa
S: Southeastern Tarrant County in north central Texa
S:
When: Until 730 PM CDT.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
Additional Details: - At 541 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Arlington, Grand Prairie, Mansfield, Cedar Hill, Kennedale, Rendon, Pantego, Cedar Hill State Park, Dalworthington Gardens, Joe Pool Lake and Mountain Creek Lake.

Recommended Action

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
