Description

The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Texa
S: Trinity River At Dallas affecting Dallas County.
What: Minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Trinity River at Dallas.
When: From this evening to tomorrow evening.
Impacts: At 32.0 feet, Minor flooding along the river will occur, and bike trails along the river will be flooded with up to 2 feet of water.
Additional Details: - At 7:30 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 15.1 feet. - Bankfull stage is 30.0 feet. - Flood stage is 30.0 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise above flood stage late this evening to a crest of 31.3 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow morning.

Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: A portion of north central Texas, including the following counties, Collin, Dallas, Denton, Kaufman, Rockwall and Tarrant.
When: Until 930 AM CDT.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.
Additional Details: - Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Rain gauge reports indicate up to 2 inches of rain have fallen in the past hour. Roads, low lying and/or poor drainage areas will experience minor flooding in the advisory area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Plano, Garland, Irving, Grand Prairie, Mesquite, McKinney, Carrollton, Frisco, Richardson, Lewisville, Allen, Flower Mound, Mansfield, Rowlett, Euless, Desoto and Bedford.

Recommended Action

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
