Recommended Action
You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Description

At 1244 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms over Dandridge, moving east at 20 mph.
Hazard: Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
Source: Radar indicated.
Impact: Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include Morristown, Jefferson City, Newport, Dandridge, White Pine, New Market, Baneberry, Parrottsville, Bird Crossing, and Fairgarden.

Recommended Action

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
