At 131 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 4 miles southeast of Porcupine Butte Housing, or 17 miles northeast of Pine Ridge, moving east at 25 mph.
Hazard: Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

Impact: Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include Batesland, Porcupine Butte Housing, Yellow Bear Canyon, and southern Pine Ridge Reservation.
