Dry grasses combined with hot and dry weather will result in near critical fire weather conditions today. Across much of the area, minimum relative humidity will range from around 25 to 30 percent, with winds gusting 25 to 35 mph out of the south to southeast. Winds will diminish early this evening, with relative humidity rising to 40 percent by around 9 PM.

What: Northwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected. Localized stronger wind gusts to around 50 mph expected across the Leola Hills and the Sisseton Hills.
Where: McPherson, Brown, Marshall, and Roberts Counties.
When: From 9 AM to 7 PM CDT Tuesday.
Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and a few power outages may result.
