Description

What: Large breaking waves of 5 to 8 feet expected in the surf zone.
Where: Washington, Dukes MA, Nantucket MA, and Newport RI Counties.
When: From 7 AM to 9 PM EDT Monday.
Impacts: Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion.
Additional Details: Rough surf and dangerous rip currents may linger into Tuesday.

Recommended Action

Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions.
