Severe Thunderstorm Warning
The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for New Castle County in northern Delaware Western Salem County in southern New Jersey West central Gloucester County in southern New Jersey Chester County in southeastern Pennsylvania Southwestern Delaware County in southeastern Pennsylvania Until 730 PM EDT. At 623 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Parkesburg to Glen Westover to Cecilton, moving east at 25 mph.
Hazard: 60 mph wind gusts.

Impact: Damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is possible. Locations impacted include Wilmington, Newark, Middletown, West Chester, Chester, Pennsville, Coatesville, Westtown, Carneys Point, Downingtown, Elsmere, Kennett Square, New Castle, Penns Grove, Salem, Parkesburg, Woodstown, Alloway, West Grove, and Quinton. This includes the following highway
S: New Jersey Turnpike near exit 1. Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 310 and 320. Interstate 95 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 0 and 5. Interstate 95 in Delaware between mile markers 1 and 23. Interstate 295 in New Jersey between mile markers 0 and 13.

THE NEW WATCH IS VALID FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN DELAWARE THE NEW WATCH INCLUDES 1 COUNTY IN NORTHERN DELAWARE NEW CASTLE IN NEW JERSEY THE NEW WATCH INCLUDES 7 COUNTIES IN SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY ATLANTIC BURLINGTON CAMDEN CUMBERLAND GLOUCESTER OCEAN SALEM IN PENNSYLVANIA THE NEW WATCH INCLUDES 5 COUNTIES IN SOUTHEAST PENNSYLVANIA BUCKS CHESTER DELAWARE MONTGOMERY PHILADELPHIA THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF ATLANTIC CITY, CAMDEN, CHERRY HILL, DEPTFORD, DOYLESTOWN, GLASSBORO, HAMMONTON, MEDIA, MILLVILLE, MOORESTOWN, MOUNT HOLLY, NORRISTOWN, PENNSVILLE, PHILADELPHIA, TOMS RIVER, WEST CHESTER, AND WILMINGTON.

At 626 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Landenberg, or near Newark, moving northeast at 30 mph.
Hazard: Tornado.

Impact: Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. Locations impacted include Kennett Square, Greenville, Pike Creek, North Star, Landenberg, Hockessin, Ashland, Avondale, and Toughkenamon.
TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
